TELECOMWORLDWIRE-20 December 2005-whaBAM introduces
RSS Feeds for auction site(C)1994-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com
Support for Really Simple Syndication (RSS) Feeds has been introduced by whaBAM.com, an auction site launched in September 2005 offering simple fee structures without listing fees.
According to whaBAM the RSS feeds will enable users to download and view customised or frequently queried auction searches and receive status updates on items that are being watched. Users can create an automated RSS/XML feed to view via a browser on their PC, or view and monitor in an RSS/XML news aggregator client.
In addition, whaBAM users can view their searches offline while travelling by downloading the file to a PDA or mobile phone. The auction site said the feeds produce a summary of searched data which is regularly updated and conforms to XML specifications for reading with any RSS/XML news aggregator, or browser.
whaBAM said the feeds help make content more accessible for users, help to locate new content more easily and keep users informed of the status of watched items on the whaBAM.com website.
