Yahoo revamps front page and adds RSS news feed

Yahoo has launched its new front page. The beta page’s new features include a music button, alphabetized product listing, single search box, a new search tab, and the Buzz log which tracks the most popular searches on the Web and is continuously updated. Consumers can also add content to My Yahoo! by clicking the "Add to My Yahoo!" buttons or text links now found on pages across the Web, on sites such as BoingBoing, CBS MarketWatch, craigslist, Forbes.com, Gizmodo, iVillage, The New York Times, and many others

For example, a Yahoo! News search for election coverage can be easily added to My Yahoo! so consumers can easily track the latest headlines. Additionally, the company has created a custom database of more than 150,000 content and service choices that consumers can search, browse and add to their page.

Along with the updated Yahoo front page the company also launched a customized RSS page. The page enables users to track virtually anything that’s newsworthy to them on the Web by topic.

Beta versions of both pages will be rolled out on a phased basis, and the company expects to make the products generally available in the weeks following.
