RSS (Real Simple Syndication or Rich
Site Summary) is an XML-based format for content distribution. Each feed
contains information about the content on a site in the form of headlines,
descriptions and a link to the full story. An
RSS reader allows the
RSS feed to
be displayed in a readable format.
There are many benefits to gathering
content via RSS, including ease-of-use, instant access to information and the
ability to manage e-mail inbox "clutter."
